Xanax is a trade name for Alprazolam that belongs to the benzodiazepine class of drugs. It has other trade names as well and some people would know it by the name Xanor or Niravam. This is also true for patients who develop symptoms of jaundice that are generally the eyes and the skin turning yellow.
